Ghanaian highlife musician, Lucky Mensah has revealed that it is too early in the day for Ghanaians to conclude that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has not performed. He argues that the President still has about three years of his mandate in the second term and will only be judged if he is done with his second term which ends in 2024. Three arrested with an AK47 rifle, 90 live ammunition in an intelligence-led operation

Officials of the Ghana Police Service have arrested three(3) people for illegal possession of firearms. The intelligence-led operation was conducted at Tema Community 25 and Dansoman on February 21, 2022, which led to the retrieval of some weapons and ammunition. Tema Community 25 led to the arrest of suspect Abdul Razak, aged 46 years, for possessing a firearm without lawful authority. Police retrieved an AK47 assault rifle, 90 rounds of live AK47 ammunition, 4 rounds of 17mm ammunition, a machete and a rubber pistol in a search at his hideout. In a separate intelligence-led operation in Dansoman, suspects Hamza Yakubu and Mubarak Yakubu were also arrested. A search conducted on them led to the retrieval of one pump action gun and a pistol. Sampa: 19-year-old battling for his life after he was butchered

Information available to MyNewsGh.com indicates that a 19-year-old has been butchered by one Peh Kwabena Daniel of Kabile in Sampa. It is currently not clear what triggered the young man to subject the nineteen year old to machete wounds. However, brother of Festus Kwasi Bronya age 19 is said to have been the one who reported the case to the Police. This was after the 19-yer-old fell unconscious due to the machete wounds and was rushed to Sampa Government Hospital. Gov’t won’t be able to pay salaries in the next three months – Bagbin hints

Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has said that he is picking information that the government will be unable to pay salaries in the next three months if the 2022 budget is not worked on. UTAG temporarily calls off its strike action

The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) have temporarily called off its industrial action. This was after an Executive Committee Meeting held at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Monday evening the deliberate on pleas by some respected individuals and institutions in the country. The suspension according to a statement from the Union is to pave way for further negotiations for better condition of service for members of UTAG. Western North Region: Three notorious armed robbers arrested during blood rituals

The Ghana Police Service has arrested three notorious armed robbers, Abiaw Reuben alias Ayile Baako, Kwabena Brentu and Isaac Arhin at Kwawu in the Enchi District of the Western North Region. The Police say the robbery suspects were arrested while they were in the process of fortifying themselves with what is believed to be the blood of a fowl at their hideout in preparation for another robbery operation. When they were apprehended, a thorough search at the premises was conducted and the Police retrieved 2 pump action guns, 18 live AAA cartridges, 1 sharpened machete, 1 knife and 1 cleaver. Saeed Mustapha Moussa pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Sarah A. L. Merriam in New Haven to a child exploitation offense related to his sexual assault of a minor.
