Researchers Are Paying People A Few Racks To Deliberately Be Infected By The Flu Virus

Image
Chile, I really don’t know about this one here but I’ve seen people do worse for money. Researchers are offering a few thousand dollars to people who volunteer to be infected with the flu virus. Scientists from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases are infecting willing subjects with influenza A (the infamous H1N1 virus, which has caused pandemics) and closely monitoring their symptoms so that they can better understand how the virus works and how to control it, according to CNN . Researchers say they are doing this in the hopes of finding a cure so that no one will have to endure the flu ever again. If you’re interested, your health will be worth $3,300. As far as how it works, participants across four research facilities will receive a nasal spray with the virus and spend at least one week at an inpatient facility until they have stopped “shedding” the virus. As volunteers exhibit typical flu-like symptoms — you know, coughing, heaving, sleeping and shivering

YG Professes His Love For Kehlani After Getting Caught Kissing Mystery Woman

The alleged cheating saga surrounding YG and girlfriend Kehlani continues to unfold, leaving many fans confused as to what’s really going on following claims that he cheated on her earlier this week while exiting an LA nightclub. As we previously reported, YG was spotted out kissing a mystery woman as he was leaving Poppy Night Club while out in Los Angeles. In the exclusive photos and video, YG can clearly be seen talking to the woman outside the club as he sits inside a red Lamborghini. Then the woman’s friend begins to urge her to end the conversation before the woman leans into YG’s car. In an exclusive statement from his team, YG explained the situation, stating:  “He was drunk, got carried away and it was very regretful for putting himself in that situation and hurting Kehlani. He has no romantic connection to the girl, just a drunken moment carried away.” Now, YG has taken things a step further and denied the entire encounter despite his earlier confession. In a post to h

New York Is Considering A Ban On Tackle Football For Kids Under 12

New York lawmakers are thinking about putting an end to tackle football for children 12 and under. If they’re successful, New York will be the third state to ban the sport for kids, right behind Massachusetts and New Jersey, according to ABC News. Now I’m sure a lot of y’all who played in Pop Warner and youth leagues are wondering what’s the big deal. Well, people are starting to change their minds about allowing kids to play tackle football due to the growing research regarding the dangers of concussions and their link to degenerative brain disease. Earlier this week, a hearing was held on the issue that featured testimony from doctors, coaches, researchers and  ex-football players. Research suggests a link between repeated concussions that are common in tackle football and traumatic brain injuries, which can result in memory and cognitive problems, depression and the gradual loss of brain function, according to the Mayo Clinic. One study, which was published in the Annals of Ne
