The embattled Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, will report to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on Tuesday, his lawyer has said. “The bail is a contract between the party that is the state and the suspect, so we had to negotiate the terms and in negotiating the terms, the two parties were able to come to a point where two eminent citizens of this country stood surety for him..We are to report back to the CID on Tuesday ,” Victor Adawudu told Accra-based Citi FM. “After the bail he has his freedom, he has his respite. Three car snatchers on Thursday reportedly inflicted cutlass wounds on a commercial driver and snatched his taxi. Three hired him from Obuasi to Kwabena Kwakrom and snatched the car with registration number AS 1743-16. 30-year-old Yaw Okyere Isaac Normanyo said the robbers asked him to take a left turn after reaching OMAC hotel, a popular hotel in Obuasi. He said when they got to a junction, they asked him to stop, sprinkled pepper on his face, beat him up and inflicted cutlass wounds on his body. But for some Good Samaritan who rushed him to the Brynt hospital in Obuasi, Yaw Okyere said he would have been a dead man. Grace Mugabe Illegal workers have invaded the farm of former Zimbabwean first lady Grace Mugabe to mine for gold. Reporters from the Zimbabwean newspaper Newsday found them uprooting lemon trees, digging shafts and loading gold ore into lorries. After unsuccessfully confronting them on Thursday, Mrs Mugabe reported the matter to the police. The farm is in Mazowe, where she had forcefully evicted villagers in 2015 – while her husband was still in power. He had taken to Twitter to share his experience about how a speeding truck almost ran into his car. He tweeted, “d just saved me from what would have been a terrible accident. While waiting at a stop light I noticed a speeding truck that didn’t seem to be slowing down. Even though the light was red I maneuvered to the front of the car on my right.
