Assin Central lawmaker has attributed his decision to tone down on his public discourse to deliberate attempts by some leading members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to fuel an enmity between him and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. The Parliamentary Committee on Transport is expected to invite the Minister of Transport Kwaku Ofori Asiamah and officials of the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority to explain why a director has been appointed for the yet to be constructed Keta Port. A letter dated March 11, 2019, and signed by the Transport Minister congratulated one Alexander Y. Adusei Jr for being employed as Head of the Port. An unlicensed gun owner in Indiana is recovering in a hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the penis.  Mark Anthony Jones, 46, told police in Marion that he was taking a morning walk when the Hi-Point 9mm handgun he was carrying in his waistband “began to slip,” according to The Smoking Gun. Jones told police that when he “reached down to adjust” the unholstered gun, it discharged, shooting a bullet that “entered just above his penis and exited his scrotum,” according to a Marion Police Department news release posted on Facebook: MARION POLICE DEPARTMENT VIA FACEBOOK The release notes that Jones doesn’t have a license to carry a handgun in Indiana. Excited Mr. Ofoe handed his money as the former President watches on. Former President Jerry John Rawlings on Friday brought joy to a physically-challenged street beggar when he donated an undisclosed sum to him.  The money is to cater to Emmanuel Ofoe’s daughter’s graduation as a hairdresser. Mr. Ofoe who rides in a rickety custom-made wheelchair with a CD number plate at the Kawukudi junction in Kanda, a suburb of Accra slipped a note detailing his predicament to the former President in traffic earlier last week.
