Ghana Premier League side, Legon Cities, have completed the signing of Black Stars General Captain, Asamoah Gyan, on a reported four-year deal on a free transfer. The former Al Ain striker has been on the radar of Asante Kotoko for most of the transfer window, but has swerved the Porcupine Warriors for Legon Cities in his Ghana Premier League return. The move was reported a week ago, but was dragged to transfer deadline day; yesterday 31st October 2020. Gyan has made a return to the Ghana Premier League seventeen-years since the former Sunderland striker left Liberty Professionals to join Udinese in the Italian Serie A. President Akufo-Addo has terminated the appointment of Adjenim Boateng Adjei as Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority ( PPA) following adverse findings against him by the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ). The Presidency in 2019 September referred conflict of interest allegations against the PPA boss to CHRAJ following an investigation by journalist Manasseh Azuri Awuni. The People’s National Convention (PNC) is expected to launch its manifesto ahead of the December 7 polls on Monday, November 02, 2020. It’s unclear the theme for the party’s 2020 manifesto, but the PNC’s Presidential candidate has said they have fine policies tailored to improve the economy. The PNC held its congress on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, to elect its flag bearer for the 2020 presidential election and national executive officers to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years. David Apasera won the flag bearer position with 1,315 votes as against Sampson Awingobit’s 789 votes and Rev Samuel Adjei-Debrah’s 465.
