People have been mistaking my ‘RnB’ genre for Highlife all this while – Dada KD

Ghanaian veteran musician, Dada KD has shockingly revealed that all these while most people mistakenly thought he was doing Highlife music. “Me for instance if you listen carefully to my songs you’d realize that it’s not Highlife that I do sing about in most of my songs,” he shockingly revealed. Talking to Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM, Dada KD said he doesn’t see himself as a Highlife artiste but rather someone who does rhythm and blues also known as RnB. He remarked “Some people even conclude that my songs are contemporary Highlife music but if you listen quite well you’ll realize that I do RnB. “My way of singing is rhythm and blues because I do talk mostly about love-related issues but in Ghana, since we use Twi so I can’t tell you what RnB is in the local language,” he ended. The Resident Pastor for the Pentecost International Worship Center (PIWC) Rev. Musa Yahaya has been involved in an accident on the Koforidua to Mamfe Highway. accident According to reports Rev. Yahaya was in the company of his wife, son and Pastor Michael Fiifi Bortsie who is in charge of Pentecost Students and Associates in Koforidua. Reports say a vehicle veered off its way and rammed into the Vehicle of the Pastor. The Toyota Rav 4 is said to have somersault four times before crash landing upside down. However, the four victims just sustained minimal injuries and have since been treated at the Eastern Regional Hospital and have been discharged. Nana Oppong Baah, an alleged deadly land guard who had been on the police radar in connection with unleashing terror and mayhem on developers and landowners in the Dodowa as well as Appolonia townships has finally been busted. The Ghana Police Service is in serious mourning this week following the crashing to death of police Constable Ernest Newton Dwamena, a young police officer who set off for duty at Buipe and never returned. A police statement said the Service celebrates the late Police Constable Ernest Newton Dwamena who was formerly of the Regional Operations Department of the Savannah Regional Police Command, as his death shows the daily hazards police are confronted within their work. Constable Ernest died yesterday, 29th September 2021 whilst on official duty at Buipe.  A truck driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into him, killing him on the spot. “Like other police officers, Ernest said goodbye to his family and left for duty hoping to see them after the close of work but unfortunately met his untimely death due to the nature of our work” a statement from the police said. According to him, he took over a virtually sinking ship of an Office of the Special Prosecutor but is currently putting things in good shape. Kissi Agyebeng who spoke to Accra-based Starr FM in an interview said when he took over the office, he moved it to a new building the government has allocated to the Special Prosecutor and started work on it to make it habitable. Mushroom Law faculties should be blamed for mass failure – Inusah Fuseini

Former Member of Parliament for Tamale Central Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has blamed the mass failure in the law School entrance exams on the falling standards at the various Universities across the country. According to him, during his time at the University of Ghana, there were strict measures to ensure that all Lawyers who made it to Makola were well prepared and baked for the adventure. He indicated that in all 100 students were admitted but they went through series of stages and tests to sieve the numbers such that people who could not make the cut are dropped at the University even before they make it to Mokola. Ghana’s legal education model is utterly broken down – Kwaku Azar

A private legal practitioner and professor of accounting, Prof.  Kwaku Azar  says the failure of 79% of LLB holders in the Law School entrance exams is an indication that the legal education model is utterly broken down. The Ghana Law School released results for its entrance exams for the 2021 academic year. Out of 2,824 candidates who sat for the exams, only 790 of them passed representing approximately 28%. The Central Regional Minister, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan has expressed shock over the outcome of the election for the endorsement of the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) nominee for Cape Coast. The Central Regional Minister, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan has expressed shock over the outcome of the election for the endorsement of the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) nominee for Cape Coast. Mrs Assan who spoke with the assembly members before the election was surprised that the MCE nominee, Hon. First years of the Ashesi University class of 2023 have been taken through an orientation system to learn to sit for Examination without the presence of cameras, supervisors or invigilators under the Ashesi code . The University officially welcomed the Class of 2023 onto what is called the Ashesi Honour Code, after the Class voted in favour of signing on.  Every year, MyNewsGh.com is reliably informed that Ashesi doesn’t impose the system on students. Widespread reports early Tuesday (yesterday) indicated that popular legendary high life musician, Nana Kwame Ampadu has passed on at the age of 76. Nana Ampadu died on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at about 6am, reports say. According to reports, Nana Ampadu has been sick for sometime now but could not confirm what killed him.
