Finance Minister can’t be removed now – Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu explains
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Majority Leader in Parliament, Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has revealed that Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta cannot be removed from office as demanded by some of his colleague Members of Parliament(MPs). According to the MP for Suame Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Ghana’s negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program are still ongoing, hence it is not possible for Ken Ofori-Atta to go. The lawmaker was reacting to fresh calls by some Members of Parliament for the removal of the Finance Minister as promised by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
