CAF Confederations Cup: Dreams FC draw Guinea’s Milo de Kankan

MTN FA Cup winners, Dreams FC, have been paired with Milo FC de Kankan of Guinea in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Dreams FC became eligible to participate in the competition after beating King Faisal 2-0 to win the MTN FA Cup at the end of last season. The win ensured Dreams FC’s first piece of silverware as a club.

Dreams will travel to Guinea for the first leg on the weekend of August 18 to 20, before coming home to host Milo at the Accra Sports Stadium in the verse fixture, a week later.

Should Dreams FC qualify, they will face the winner of the tie between AS Douanes (Niger) and Kallon FC (Sierra Leone) in the second preliminary round, which has been scheduled for September 15 to 17. The reverse fixture will then be played from September 19 to October 1.

The winners of the second preliminary round fixtures will automatically progress to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Debutantes Dreams FC will become the 13th Ghanaian club to participate in the CAF Confederations Cup.
