Mahama’s Honeymoon plea: Cut Mahama some slack – Franklin Cudjoe

Franklin Cudjoe of IMANI Africa says John Dramani Mahama should be cut some slack on his call on labour unions to hasten slowly in making excessive demands in 2025.

He is of the view that John Dramani Mahama has a case if he asks for a honeymoon after he was voted to power in 2015.

Franklin Cudjoe indicated that, unlike Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who inherited a better-placed economy, the same cannot be said about whoever will take over from the current president of Ghana.

“Paul, l think you should cut JM some slack when he says labour should hasten slowly in making excessive demands in 2025 should he be president in 2025.given the understandably precarious nature of our finances- with a debt iceberg necessitating a debt exchange whose reach is far more pernicious to the state’s finances and personal savings ( e.g. stressful near pick pocketing of our investments through bad haircuts) than what the NDC left us in 2016.”
