It’s unfair to blame Bawumia for Ghana’s economic problems – Egyapa Mercer
Deputy Energy Minister, Andrew Egyapa Mercer has said that every economy in the world is suffering from crises as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and more
He is of the view that it’s unfair to place the blame at the doorstep of the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as some propagandists seek to suggest.
Egyapa Mercer questions whether the other countries struggling blame poor leadership for the struggles faced by their respective economies
He indicates that several factors have led to the economic challenges faced by the country.
“Almost every economy in this world is suffering today. Is it a result of bad leadership, or bad economic management in those countries? Why do we attribute the problems in Ghana to Dr Bawumia? Several factors have caused us to be where we are and as a matter of fact, those ostriches can pretend to remain there,” he said on TV3.
Egyapa Mercer is of the view that Dr Mahmudu Bawumia has his vision for Ghana which he will articulate with time indicating that he is the right man to lead Ghana against former President John Dramani Mahama who has nothing new to offer.
