Violence now in NPP DNA – Asiedu Nketia
Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Asiedu Nketia, says violence is now the culture of the New Patriotic Party.
He says the political party no longer believes in the rule of law, considering their approach to issues in recent times.
Asiedu Nketia cited the recent invasion of United Television by some youth who are affiliated with the party in power to back his claims of the culture of violence in the NPP.
He also indicated that some utterances by Kennedy Agyapong, who is contesting to lead the NPP, indicate that the political party believes in taking the laws into their own hands, which does not augur well for the country’s growth.
“So if some of their people have prepared and gone to face UTV, then it’s a culture in their political party. Draw your conclusions from his utterances. He says if you do something, he will not report you to the police or soldiers but rather prepare and face you. We will then have a president who will be seen in public fighting his enemies,” he said while speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
