Super Delegates Conference: Kennedy Agyapong, 4 others face NPP Disciplinary Committee
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has referred flagbearer aspirant Kennedy Agyapong and four others to the Disciplinary Committee of the party.
The flagbearer hopeful according to a statement issued by the party will be made to provide responses and further details to the accusations and threats he made against certain personalities in a video that has since gone viral on social media and mainstream media.
Presidential candidate aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hon Kennedy Agyapong threatened to challenge President Akufo–Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over reports one of his agents was chased away from a polling center.
In a video that went viral, the Assin Central MP was heard saying, “I swear to God, President Akufo–Addo, I will give you a showdown; Vice President, I’ll give you a showdown for chasing my agent out to run into a room. You will see what happens here. Yes, I swear on God, I will challenge President Akufo-Addo anytime”.
The viral video in which the MP was seen speaking on the phone is believed to have been recorded in the Central Region, where he cast his vote in the ongoing election earlier this morning.
Also, four other persons, including Mr. Raphael Patrick Sarfo, Mr. Charles Dokyi Yaw-Addo, Mr. Musa Sulemana and Mr. Hopeson Yaovi Adorye, have been referred to the Disciplinary Committee for breaching Constitutional provisions of the party in the just ended Super Delegates Conference.
