Ghanaian teen Ato Ampah signs first Chelsea professional contract

Ghanaian teenager Ato Ampah has signed his first professional contract with Chelsea Football Club, committing his future to the Premier League giants until 2025.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has been part of the Chelsea academy since he was 11 years old, and he has impressed with his performances for the U18 team this season.

Born in Accra, Ampah is eligible to represent both Ghana and England, but it appears that he has chosen to continue his development at Stamford Bridge.

The deal was agreed between the player’s representatives and Chelsea’s youth management, with the contract running until June 2025.

Chelsea have a history of nurturing young talent through their academy, and Ampah will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
