Yagbonwura has summoned those who hooted at Mahama -NDC Executive reveals
The overlord of the Gonjaland Traditional Area, Yagbonwura, Bikunuto Jewu Soale has summoned persons who reportedly booed at Former President John Dramani Mahama at his Palace for questioning, Communication Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Savannah Region, Mr RA Jalil has said.
In a video circulating on social media, Former President John Dramani Mahama was seen being booed during the outdooring of the Gonja King at the Jakpa Palace.
The NDC in the Savannah Region has however denied reports that the Former President John Dramani Mahama was hooted at in Damongo when he attended the outdooring of the new Yagbonwura, Bikunuto Jewu Soale.
The Regional Communications Officer of the party explained that the alleged booing was just the diabolic creation of “a small group of people who were part of unruly and uncouth supporters of the NPP on the blind side of [former] President Mahama and his delegation, shouting and recording themselves.”
However, speaking on Kumasi based Angel FM, the Communication Officer of the NDC in the Savannah Region Mr R. A Jalil disclosed that, those who allegedly hooted the Former President have been invited by the Yagbonwura for questioning.
“Like I mentioned, if they will hoot at John Dramani Mahama then not inDamango. The Yagbonwura has invited those people to come and explain why they booed and captured that video to drag his Kingship or his outdooring into the mud.” Mr RA Jalil told Alibaba in an interview on the show “Angel Breaking News.”
He also insisted that, those who were seen in the video are not residents of the Savannah Region but were bussed from Tamale
“The people came there to take the video to show that they are not in agreement with Mahama’s presence there were bussed from Tamale ”, he said
