Bawku Tech. Institute closed down after violent clashes with Bawku SHS

The Management of the Ghana TVET Service has upon the advice of the Upper East Regional Security Council (REGSEC) closed down Bawku Technical Institute.

The closure according to a statement sighted by MyNewsGh.com is a result of the violent clashes between students of Bawku Technical Institute and Bawku Senior High School on March 25, 2023.

According to the statement, all continuing students are expected to leave the school’s campus except first-year students who are still working on their registration and are being oriented.

The statement further indicated that security officers will be at hand to evacuate all the students to protect lives and property therefore parents should make it a point to pickup their wards.

Meanwhile, the Management of the Ghana TVET Service said in its statement that it “will keep parents and the general public informed on any new development”.
