All bills on me; he must lack nothing” – Bawumia’s promise to late MP

MyNewsGH.com gathers from the bereaved family that, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia promised to take care of the late Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Philip Basoah while on admission at a health facility

The family revealed that the Vice President upon hearing the news of the sick lawmaker hurriedly visited him at the Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra at about 6:45 am last Saturday.

After visiting the late MP, Dr Bawumia offered to cater for all his medical bills  and stressed that, the MP must not lack anything.

Dr. Bawumia also after saying a word of prayer for the late MP, told the medical team at the hospital to do everything possible to save his life.

The Former MP Philip Basoah died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after he was admitted at the hospital for treatment since last at age 54.

It is currently unclear what actually was the cause of his death except the explanation by the bereaved family he has been unwell for some time now.

Philip Basoah came to Parliament in 2017 after he won convincingly in the 2016 elections.

Prior to becoming a Member of Parliament, he was a Chief Executive for the Sekyere East District from June 2005 to January 2009 and was also a tutor at the Agogo State College.
