Akufo-Addo’s gov’t needs to take education in creative arts seriously – Idris Elba

Idrissa Akuna Elba known globally as Idris Elba, an English actor, singer and producer, has called on the government of Ghana to push education in creative arts.

“We’re encouraging the government of Ghana to really push education in creative arts,” Idris Elba said on Opemsuo FM in Kumasi when he recently came to Ghana.

According to the popular award-winning figure, there is an erroneous impression that the creative arts is all about singing, dancing and acting alone.

He continued ‘Because it’s so much and people think it’s all about singing and dancing and acting but it’s not only about that.

“Even this studio was probably built by someone with a creative mind and this is a technical space,” he added sighted by MyNewsGh.com’s Amansan Krakye.

‘This is the landscape of education and so whether you are an actor or a technical person, education is the way forward,” he concluded.
