Thomas Partey leaves Ghana camp with flared-up knee issue – Report
Arsenal’s Thomas Partey left the Ghana camp on Saturday and is heading to London with a flared-up knee issue.
Journalist George Addo Jr, who is with the Black Stars in France, reports the 29-year-old will miss Ghana’s clash against Nicaragua on Tuesday because of the injury.
He also missed Friday’s crunch encounter against Brazil, which the Black Stars lost 3-0, after being named in the starting team.
Partey encountered the issue during the pre-game warm-up and was quickly removed from the starting eleven.
It was initially thought to be a precautionary measure to take Partey out of the starting eleven, but it has now been reported he is on his way to London for further checks.
Thomas Partey only returned from injury and featured in Arsenal’s win over Brentford in the Gunners’ final game before the international break.
