Seydou Zerbo replaces Prosper Ogum as Asante Kotoko head coach

Asante Kotoko have announced the appointment of Seydou Zerbo as their new head coach on a one-year deal, with an option to extend for a further year.

The Burkina Faso national replaces Prosper Narteh Ogum who resigned last week after leading the Porcupine Warriors to the 2021/33 Ghana Premier League title.

Asante Kotoko confirmed Zerbo’s appointment on Sunday, August 21, via a Twitter statement, which says, “We are delighted to announce Burkinabe trainer, Seydou “Krol” Zerbo as our new head coach for one season with an option for a further year.”

Zerbo was in charge of the Burkina Faso home-based national team when they kicked Ghana out of the 2019 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

Kotoko have not confirmed whether he will lead the club’s second phase of preseason when they go travel to Sudan today (Sunday) for a series of friendlies against other teams going to compete in CAF Competitions.
