The despair in Ghana is reverberating in every corner – Ofosu Kwakye

A former Deputy Information Minister Felix Ofosu Kwakye has asked the government to admit it is in a sinking ship and seek help.

He says there is despair in the land and it is reverberating in every corner of the country.

To Ofosu Kwakye, there is no shame in admitting that the government has failed in order for it to get the needed help.

He made this known in a tweet.

Felix Ofosu Kwakye said “There is general despair in the land and it is reverberating in every corner of our country. The Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government is at its wits end and simply doesn’t know what to do to get out of the mess. There is no defense to be had or mounted. There is no shame in admitting this”.

Ghana is currently going through trying times.

Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko in a series of tweets early this week admitted that Ghana’s debt is at its highest and that the country is losing investor confidence.

He disclosed that even though the government thought that it could make enough money from e-levy, it is making only 10% of the projections made.

Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko was worried that the country may have to resort to the IMF; something the government has tried so hard to avoid because of the restrictions in spending.
