Throwing out your girl because she got pregnant primitive – Kidi counsels parents

In a typical Ghanaian home, most parents do not take it easy on their girl child when she gets pregnant especially during her teens when she is neither married nor done with her education.

On many occasions, these girls suffer from being thrown out of home by aggrieved parents and as a result, they become miserable on the streets in search of survival.

But Award-winning singer and songwriter born Dennis Nana Dwamena known by his stage name as Kidi says this act by some parents is primitive practice and does not happen anymore.

“I don’t think these things happen anymore. This is what you used to see in Ghanaian and Nigerian movies. I don’t think it happens. A lot of things have changed it doesn’t happen anymore”, Kidi said in an interview with YFM Takoradi monitored by MyNewsGH.com.

According to the “Touch It” hitmaker, it is because the practice has been eliminated from the homes of many Ghanaians that is why the story is not carried in movies anymore.

“That is why a lot of movies you watch now the storylines have changed. So it is not really happening anymore”, Kidi told Rahm B3sia the host of the show “Dryve of ur lyfe”.
