Family of coconut seller struck by lightning consult Nogokpo shrine

The grandfather of the young man who was struck by lightning says until a delegation sent to Nogokpo comes back, the body of the late coconut seller cannot be touched.

According to him, it’s not normal for thunder to strike any individual and so there is the need to consult the gods in the Southern part of the Volta Region to ascertain the cause of the thunder strike.

He said the delegation spoke to them early this morning and that they were going to the shrine and will provide the needed feedback.

“When it comes like that we have to consult from the South where we believe they know what happened. So we are waiting for their arrival. They went to Nogokpo yesterday and they have not arrived yet. When we called this morning they said they were going to the shrine so they will go and consult them so we know what to do.”

MyNewsGh.com reported earlier of the death of a coconut seller who was struck by lightning in the Volta Regional capital, Ho.

His body has since been left untouched; a situation that has caused fear and panic among residents of the town.
