Appointing a virtual Minister for Gender Ministry a worry for Ghana – Bawa Mogtari
An Aide to the former President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari has expressed worry over the President of Ghana’s decision to appoint a virtual Minister to a sensitive Ministry like the Gender, Women and Social Protection Ministry.
Sarah Adwoa Safo since her appointment as Minister has left her post and is currently based in the United States of America.
The Minister in her recent interview says she does not know when she is returning to Ghana to perform her duty as Minister and Member of Parliament.

In her absence, the President has asked the Sanitation and Water Works Minister Cecilia Dapaah to act as Minister.
Reacting to the development, Joyce Bawa Mogtari says it’s shocking that the President has decided to treat such a sensitive Ministry the way he is treating it.
She believes that there is supposed to be some level of seriousness in addressing issues pertaining to Women and Children.
“How @NAkufoAddo has successfully outdone himself by appointing a “Virtual Minister” for Ghana’s most critical Ministry,the Min of Gender, Children and Social Protection.”
