VIDEO: You can’t be NPP Gen. Sec. with your Tamale Mayor arrogance – John Boadu to Superior

General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) seeking re-election John Boadu has said former Tamale Mayor, Iddrisu Musah Superior exhibited arrogance and pride as Tamale Mayor and is hence unfit to lead NPP in any capacity again. 

According to him, as Mayor of Tamale in the Northern region, Iddrisu Musah, affectionately called Musah Superior was not accessible to the people and exhibited pride and arrogance towards persons who wanted to see him. 

He was speaking on the Platform on Peace FM with Nana Yaw Kesse. 

John Boadu urged journalists to go to Tamale and ask about Musah Superior when he was Tamale Mayor. Mr. John Boadu also revealed the former Mayor made no contributions to the party financially.

Musah Superior a contender for the General Secretary position was the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly in the first term of the administration of President Nana Akufo-Addo. He was recently named Deputy Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission.

John Boadu incumbent General Secretary is considered favorite to be retained during the NPP’s next congress after he successfully led the party to capture power from the NDC party in 2016 and helped the party to win the 2020 general elections. 

Other aspiring general secretary contenders are Justin Kodua Frimpong, Youth Enterprise Agency (YEA) Chief Executive and Fredrick Opare-Ansah, former MP for Suhum among others.
