Remember Us, Our Livelihood depends on this: NABCO personnel stage protest on Twitter for their allowances, permanent jobs

Personnel who were engaged in the Nation Builders Corps have taken over social media platform Twitter and are agitating over what they describe as a “scam” by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to the personnel, prior to the 2020 elections, they were promised permanent jobs and were made to go for interviews and write aptitude tests but nothing has come out of the process they were made to go through.

The personnel say apart from the fact that they have not been given the jobs, they have not been paid for the last two months hence making life very difficult for them.

They have expressed the hardship they have had to suffer just because the government has failed to fulfil its part of the bargain.

Government engaged the services of young graduates who had been unemployed for years due to the ban on public sector employment.

The Graduates numbering 100,000 were deployed to various Government agencies and were expected to stay employed for three years after which they will leave with employable skills from the training they receive.

Personnel under the initiative were paid GHC 700 monthly; a stipend that could delay for three to four months but personnel had to endure.

The initiative was supposed to have ended this year but after criticisms, the government had to re-engage the personnel.

Stop drowning people in rivers in the name of BAPTISM-Pastors warned

Children’s Ministry Director for the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Fred Tiakor has recommended the use of baptistery for water baptism to all church leaders and pastors, as a precaution against drowning people in rivers during water baptism, MyNewsGh.com has filed.
