NDC fooling with its numerical strength in Parliament – Dr. Ayew Afriyie

Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore Hon. Dr. Ayew Afriyie has taken a swipe at the Minority in Parliament for fooling with their numerical strength in the house.

“When you don’t look for loans to pay your debt banks are collapsing, people are losing their jobs, if you look for loans to pay too Nana Addo gets a bad name. So now you are on crossroads in determining whether what you did was right or wrong. It all boils down to the fact that the NDC has some numerical strength which they are fooling with,” he said on Kumasi-based Wontumi FM.

Hon. Dr. Ayew Afriyie complained bitterly about how Members of Parliament on the Majority side are struggling in Parliament.

“I am on the Health Committee of Parliament and we have had to sit on the budget several times. Sometimes we leave Parliament at 2 am and we are not making any headway,” he said in an interview.

Hon. Dr. Ayew Afriyie complained bitterly about the hung Parliament indicating that going forward, the NPP especially needs to advise itself during its internal elections and avoid what is described as skirt and blouse.

“At the end of the day, it is all about hung Parliament. Going forward, there should never be a case where we will go into an election and someone will want to vote skirt and blouse or someone thinks of dealing with the party especially in the Ashanti Region,” he said.
