University of Ghana promotes Dr. Lord Mensah to Full Professor of Finance
A Senior lecturer of the department of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon Dr. Lord Mensa has been promoted to full professor, MyNewsGh.com reports.
Prof. Mensah has been one of the leading voices on finance in Ghana while maintaining his thorough independence as an academic and technocrat.
Lord Mensa who acquired a PhD in Applied Economics-Finance at the University of Antwerp, Belgium from October 2007 to September 2011 also obtained his MSc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany from October 2002 to August 2004.
Before then, he had pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology from October 1997 to July 2001. He also read some Computer Related Courses between the periods March 2004 to July 2006. He is fluent in both English German, Dutch.
Dr. Lord Mensah lectured as a teaching assistant at the University of Antwerp in Investment Analysis and Advance Empirical Finance.
He worked as a Visiting Lecturer in Corporate /Managerial Finance at GIMPA School of Business.
He has taught effectively at KNUST, Department of Mathematics for six years. He lectures at the Institute of Distance Learning, KNUST as a facilitator. Lord has attended and presented at many international conferences, including World Finance conference (Portugal), Swiss Society for Financial Market Research conference (Switzerland) and Eastern and Mid- West Finance conferences both in the (USA). Aside his publications, he has a lot of working papers to his credit.
He has served on the Business, Finance and Investment committee for UG teaching hospital Research and conference committee (UGBS), Weekend MBA management committee, African Journal of Management Research Editorial Committee and the UGBS conference editorial committee.
