Suspects arrested in Kaaka’s murder part of gang that assaulted me during 2020 poll – Ejura MP reveals
Member of Parliament(MP) for Ejura Sekyedumase Constituency of the Ashanti region Hon. Muhammed Bawa Braimah has identified Ibrahim Issaka alias ‘Anyaas’ and Fuseini Alhassan as members of a gang of hoodlums who attacked him during the voter registration process in 2020.
The MP was attacked and beaten by these thugs when he was distributing food to NDC agents at voter registration centres in the constituency.
Hon. Bawa Braimah on the said day went to Hiawoawu before proceeding to Nkwanta where the brutal attack on him took place. The NPP thugs met him at Hiawoawu and when he saw them, he decided to leave and proceeded to Nkwanta.
Recalling what happened to him on the day the Member of Parliament said while speaking in an interview with Accra-based TV3 that “the people who attacked him two of whom have been arrested now Ibrahim Isaaka alias Anyars the Bible and then Alhassan Fuseini alias Alhassan Danjamlo these are the bodyguards of the Municipal Chief Executive. They are his attack dogs, he uses them against his opponents. They were part of a group of people who attacked me on the 6th of July 2020 during the registration exercise”.
He said although a reports was made at the Police Station, nothing was done about it by the Police.

Background
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in the attack and murder of one Ibrahim Mohammed alias ‘Kaaka’ aged 45 and resident of Dagombaline, a suburb of Ejura in the Ashanti Region. The suspects are Ibrahim Issaka alias ‘Anyaas’ and Fuseini Alhassan currently in Police custody. Both were arrested at about 10:45pm on Monday 28th June 2021 following police intelligence.
Witness accounts show that the deceased was ambushed in front of his house when he was returning home on his motorbike at about 1:30am on 27th June 2021. He was rushed to the Ejura Government Hospital and later referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he died at midday 28th June 2021.
