Reggae music is timeless and I don’t see it going down in Ghana – Iwan Suhyini on Adina’s VGMA win

After the popular reggae song “Why” by Adina was awarded as Reggae Dancehall Song of the Year at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Iwan Suhyini has said that reggae music will never go down in Ghana.

“I don’t see reggae music going down because reggae is a timeless music genre,” Iwan Suhyini told the Amansan Krakye.

“But I see most of the youth gravitating and giving more attention to dancehall because that’s where they familiarize themselves,” he added.

Speaking about reggae music in Ghana on the Kastle Drive show, Iwan Suhyini born Abdul Razak Issahaku said most artistes doing solely reggae music in Ghana are suffering.

He revealed on Kastle FM in Cape Coast “Most reggae artistes in Ghana are suffering in terms of commercially how they market their music.

“But when you move from Ghana and go outside reggae music is very big and remains one of the biggest genres,” Iwan Suhyini ended.
