Be cautioned by the deliberate killings at Ejura – Uni Don cautions #fixthecountry protesters

University of Ghana Business School Senior Lecturer Kobby Mensah has cautioned organizers of the #fixthecountry protest to take lessons from how protesters in Ejura were treated by the government.

According to him, this is a prelude to how they intend to use the security personnel to intimidate the protesters when they hit the streets to street to demonstrate against the ills currently going on in the country.

Kobby Mensah who made this known in a post shared on social media said “The #Ejura shootings is a signal to the possible #FixTheCountry demonstrators in Accra, especially. They are sending a clear signal to intimidate potential demonstrators. This is predetermined action”.

Reports from Ejura indicates that three persons have lost their lives whiles several others are battling for their lives.

This comes after soldiers sent to calm protesters in the area rather opened fire into the people injuring several people and killing three of them.

The protest erupted after the death of an activist called Kaaka who is believed to have been beaten for exposing the ills at Ejura in the Ashanti region.

Although he was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital in Kumasi after the attack, he could not survive it and gave up the ghost.
