Congo defender Raddy Ovouka extends contract with Hearts of Oak
Congolese defender, Raddy Ovouka, has signed a new deal with Ghana Premier League side, Accra Hearts of Oak, that will keep him at the club until 2024.
The left-back has been one of the standout performers for the Phobians this term; making 17 appearances, scoring one goal and provided three assists.
Ovouka featured for the Congo national team for the first time in their last two 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Senegal and Guinea-Bissau.
Hearts of Oak announced the 21-year-old’s contract extension in a press statement on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, that also contained updates on other issues at the club.
Other matters addressed in the press release:
The club has completed its stewards’ training and is ready to admit fans at their home games in the second round of the Ghana Premier League that will start on April 2, 2021.
The club is taking care of the injury of midfielder, Lawali Mamane, and has not been reported to FIFA as speculated in the media.
Nigerian striker, Danjuma Kuti’s contract with the club has been terminated, and all entitlements paid and other issues.
