Akufo-Addo will step down when he sees NDC’s ‘serious evidence’ – Muntaka
Minority Chief whip, Muntaka Mubarak says if Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo sees the NDC evidence, he will step down himself.
Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has petitioned the Supreme Court of Ghana to declare the results declared by the electoral commission as null and void.
The NDC leader is also seeking the court to injunct the President from holding himself as President-elect and also order a rerun of the entire election.
Speaking in an interview, Muntaka indicated that the evidence he has seen is worrying and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will himself step down when the NDC presents its evidence in court.
“Some of the things that I have seen, I want to believe that if President Nana Addo himself is sitting as a member of the panel of judges [he will give up the presidency] …I am telling you…,” Muntaka Mubarak said.
