Were you voted for proverbs or development? – Bawumia quizzes A.B.A Fuseini
The Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu has charged the people of Sagnarigu Constituency to rethink their voting pattern in the impending election indicating that it could turn their fortunes around in terms of development.
He noted that since 1992,the people in the Constituency have voted for the NDC but have not seen any changes in development.
The Economist who was addressing a rally as part of his tour of the Northern Region indicated that the Member of Parliament(MP) Alhaji A B A Fusieni of the Constituency is only good at proverbs and nothing else.
To him, A B A Fuseini who has already been given two terms and is seeking another term should be changed because whenever issues bothering the development of his constituency is brought up, all he is able to tell the people are proverbs and nothing productive.
“If you ask A.B. A Fuseini for water, he recites proverbs. If you ask him for roads, he gives you proverbs. If you ask him for anything, he provides proverbs. Was he voted to parliament to provide us proverbs?”
He used the opportunity to call on Constituents to vote Madam Felicia Tetteh to power and try another option apart from the NDC in order for the Constituency to have access to the deserved development.
On her part, the Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party Felicia Tetteh admonished the people to vote for her to ensure that development is fast-tracked. According to her, the slow pace of development in Sagnarigu is as a result of the loyalty to the NDC which has over the years been taken for granted.
Madam Felicia Fuseini prayed constituents not to heed to the advice of Alhaji A B A Fuseini of voting against her because she is a Christian indicating that she’s not going to Parliament to become a Pastor or an Imam but to work to make lives better.
The Chief of Sagnarigu Naa Ambassador Abdulai Yakubu in welcoming Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his entourage was grateful for the introduction of Free Senior High School education across the country because it has reduced the burden on people who had to pay several monies to ensure that children of school-going age receive the best education.
He used the opportunity to appeal to the Vice President to ensure that internal roads in Sagnarigu are given a facelift.
