NBA YoungBoy Released From Jail Following His Recent Arrest In Baton Rouge (Update)
TSR Updatez: NBA YoungBoy was among 16 males who were arrested late Monday night in his hometown of Baton Rouge and he’s already walking free less than 24 hours later.
Earlier today we reported that NBA YoungBoy was detained and eventually arrested.. Baton Rouge police explain that they were called to a neighborhood, following the tip from an anonymous caller who reported seeing multiple people brandishing guns in a vacant lot.
When police approached the scene, the guys apparently scattered while officers were able to detain YoungBoy and a few others.
During the course of the investigation, officers said they confiscated multiple firearms, drugs and large stacks of cash.
In light of what they found, police made 16 arrests and confiscated 14 guns (one stolen and two guns with illegal stocks), and seized $79,000 in U.S. currency
Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul said, “We have consistently said that we can’t do this alone. We need help from the community to solve crimes. When you See Something, Say Something. This is another example of our citizens getting involved and calling us when they witness suspicious activity…Keep talking, we will never stop listening.”
YoungBoy was released sometime Tuesday afternoon. While he’s a free man now, there is concern that being caught with a gun may bring about some real issues for him, considering he’s a felon.
Back in 2019 he served 14 months on house arrest for his role in a Miami shooting.
YoungBoy’s attorney told TMZ that his client is innocent and that YoungBoy was not in possession of any illegal drugs.
We’ll keep you posted on any updates.
