Ghana’s Borders remain closed

President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo says the country’s borders remain closed till the end of June.

The President made this disclosure when he addressed the country for the tenth time after the country recorded cases of COVID-19.

“Our borders remain closed until further notice,” he said.

The President said the decision was taken as a result of a consensus built through the various stakeholder consultations undertaken over the weeks.

Meanwhile, Ghana has recorded 8,070 cases with 36 deaths. One patient according to the President is critically ill and is currently put on a ventilator.
