Dumelo reveals how he won NDC Parliamentary primaries
Actor John Dumelo, the newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region has revealed how he won the parliamentary primaries of his party.

He revealed that delegates vote for aspirants who speak their language, explaining that while people wondered or not he would contest, he was engaging delegates and selling his message to them.
He made this known in a Citi TV interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
The actor cum entrepreneur turned politician also disclosed that even though people underestimated his ability to win the primary, he had a firm grip on what he was doing, adding that because he didn’t put many of the things he was doing on social media.

Mr. Dumelo added that many persons did not know that he was working hard in the background to beat his closest contender.
“What is important is the one-on-one dialogue with delegates, which I was doing,” Mr Dumelo said.
He stressed further that “when you go to the delegates and speak their language, they would understand you and they would vote for you.”

John Dumelo recently won the NDC primary election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency. He would likely face off with Lydia Alhassan, who is the current Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
