According to him, government has held fruitful talks with the Brazilian Construction company Queiroz Galvao and the contractor is expected back on site to resume work next month.
Work on the road stalled few months after the assumption of the New Patriotic Party into office over nonpayment. According to government, the source of funding for the project which was awarded and commenced under the Mahama Administration was unsustainable to execute the project.
The situation has generated disappointments among the road users and people in the upper east region over what they described as lack to commitment by past and the present government to fix the road.
