Volta Regional Hospital officially commissioned as a Teaching Hospital

The Volta Regional  hospital also known as Trafalgar has been elevated to the status of a teaching hospital to provide students of University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) the platform to undertake practical training and research.

It was on Monday recommissioned by the sector minister for health Kwaku Agyemang Manu, the Volta Regional Minister and his Deputy, the Chairman of the UHAS Council, the Vice Chancellor of UHAS and a host of other dignitaries.

The Volta regional Teaching Hospital has served the indigenes and neighbouring border country, Togo.

Dr Archibald Letsa entreated all and sundry to take advantage of the presence of the Teaching Hospital to partner government to make the hospital a Medical Tourism Centre of international repute.

He assured all of the preparedness of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council to support the hospital to enable it serve the purpose for its new status
