Anas Aremeyaw Anas sued by Nyantakyi

Former President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has sued Anas Aremeyaw Anas and Tiger Eye PI for defamation.

According to Nyantakyi, the visuals in the documentary produced by Anas Aremeyaw Anas is defamatory and has tarnished his hard earned reputation.

He’s thus seeking punitive damages against defendants for defamation. Additionally, he is praying the court for a Perpetual injunction restraining the defendants from further publishing the video or premiering it.

On June 6, Anas and his team premiered a documentary on football in West Africa.

In the video, some top officials of the Ghana Football Association were caught taking bribes to influence games and selection into National teams.

The embattled former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi who’s currently being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department of the Police Service for using President Akufo-Addo’s name for influence peddling stated that the President is open to pocketing a $5 million bribe, claiming Akufo-Addo sold most of his property to finance the 2016 election and as such was broke.

Nyantakyi said he had been reliably informed by Anthony Karbo, the deputy roads and highways minister, that given Akufo-Addo’s dire financial situation, he would greatly appreciate a $5 million dollar “gift” and in turn approve lucrative contracts for Nyantakyi and his team.
