T’di-based Afezi Perry rejects comparison with Castro

Afezi Perry was nominated in the 2017 VGMA Unsung category

Sensational and promising Takoradi-based singer, Afezi Perry, has debunked rumours that he is copying Castro’s style of singing.

He said he does not know any musician called Castro and so he is not doing anything similar to what he did.

Afezi Perry stressed that he is doing his own style of music and not following anybody’s footsteps.

Speaking on Connect FM’s entertainment show Oil City Mix hosted by DJ Oxygen, Afezi Perry indicated that Castro did not have any special style of singing for which he would copy.

Even though the 2017 VGMA Unsung nominee has stayed with Castro for so many years to undergo grooming for him to be a successful artiste, he claims he does not know Castro.

Afezi Perry was featured with Obrafour in one of Castro’s hit songs titled ‘Nyimpa Kakape’ produced by Seshi.

He some time ago claimed he has written hit songs for several artistes including Castro, Sister Afia’s Jeje featuring Shatta Wale, among others.

Afezi Perry is a sensational Ghanaian singer and songwriter whose lyrics cut across all genres of music.

He is acknowledged for smash hits such as ‘Dedew’, ‘Maabena’, ‘Sika Beba’, ‘Wonkoaa’, and many more.
