Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal Ruled Out ‘Indefinitely’ With Heart Problem
Real Madrid will be without Dani Carvajal ‘indefinitely’ because of heart problems.
The La Liga champions just published a medical report on the right-back on Saturday night.
“Following tests carried out on Dani Carvajal, he has been diagnosed with a viral pericardium infection. His recovery will continue to be assessed,” the statement read.
Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, will also be without Marcelo or Theo Hernandez against Espanyol on Sunday, meaning he will most likely have to start Achraf Hakimi on the right side of the defensive line as Nacho will play as a left back.
Zidane could also start Lucas Vázquez on the right if he feels Achraf isn’t ready to start just yet.
Carvajal recently signed a contract extension tying him to the club until 2022.
The new deal sees his release clause rise to an eye-watering £308million.
