BoG’s first deputy governor retires

The First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Mr. Millison Narh, has retired.

Mr. Narh has since informed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of his retirement during a brief visit to the presidency Monday.

The President thanked Mr. Narh for his years of dedicated service to the country, and wished him well in his retirement, according to an official statement from the Central Bank.

Present at the meeting were the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison.

Appointed the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank on July 20, 2009, Mr. Narh was subsequently appointed the First Deputy Governor on 21st July, 2013.
