Each New Region To Get GHȻ 20m After Successful Referendum – Dan Botwe

Dan Botwe, Minister for Regional Reorganization and Development Each of the six yet-to-be created regions will receive an amount of GHc20 million as seed capital if they sail through successfully in the upcoming referendum slated for December 27, 2018. Minister for Regional Reorganization and Development, Dan Botwe, said the amount is to enable them put in place critical infrastructure for a smooth takeoff. “In anticipation, the 2019 budget and economic policy has allocated GHc20 million as seed capital per the new regions for the provision of critical infrastructure to enable the new regions to take off. So if they succeed, they have that one to start setting up and taking over their region,” Dan Botwe said at a press conference on Thursday. John Mahama The security official attached to former president John Mahama’s campaign team who slapped a Joy News journalist ,   has been identified and suspended, a member of the campaign team has revealed. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye told the AM Show on the Joy News channel Thursday that, the fellow has been removed from the pack and also hinted that he will face legal action soon. “The person who assaulted Kwesi Parker Wilson has been dealt with. He’s no more around the campaign…he has been suspended and the office is coordinating with the police very well on this issue…,” the legislator said. There was drama on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Ghana Law School between Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong and a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council (GLC), Lawyer Sam Okudzeto over a case filed by the former against ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas. A Ghanaian Police Officer was captured on CCTV stealing a mobile phone while on duty at the Marina Shopping Mall in Accra. A customer mistakenly left his mobile phone at one of the shop at the Mall. Somehow the Police officer saw the mobile phone on a desk at the shop and then pretended as if he was doing his normal routine security checks.
