The LG G7 ThinQ looks to bring the boom with the Boombox Speaker
LG announced that the upcoming G7 ThinQ will feature a “Boombox Speaker” that allows for louder sound with more bass. The G7 ThinQ will also strengthen the headphone jack with audiophile-friendly features. LG plans to announce the G7 ThinQ May 2 in New York and May 3 in South Korea. Having already teased the G7 ThinQ ‘s incredibly bright display , LG turned its attention to another of the upcoming flagship’s features: the “Boombox Speaker.” Speaking with Engadget , LG claimed the Boombox Speaker increases the sound level by over 6dB and doubles the bass output relative to a typical smartphone. As a nice bonus, you can place the G7 ThinQ on a flat surface or box to further amplify the bass. LG accomplished this by having the Boombox Speaker rely on a special resonance chamber design within the G7 ThinQ.
